2000 SR5 with a 4cyl?

Did toyota ever make a 2000 4Runner SR5 with 4 cylinders?? I'm planning on getting me this "SR5" but now I'm thinking someone just decided to add the SR5 badge to scare other driver

NO, if they have a badge on it saying SR5, they are trying to deceive you. SR5 came with some up grades in 2000, including a V6 engine. We had another thread were someone was trying to sell a SR5 as a limited.

If you can overlook the that, a basic 2000 4Runner should be a great vehicle.

ok i think im going crazy, cause when i was looking to buy my runner, i couldve sworn i saw sr5 4cyls.

i dont think sr5's came with 4cyls in 2000, but in the early 3rd gen years (ie. 96-98) i think they did

I have a 2000 SR5 4x2 and it's a V6. I'm planning to sell it. I'm trying to figure out how to price it. It's single owner with 99K miles. I have all paperwork of all maintenance. It's in great shape and really clean. Not sure if they made a 4 cyls.

I just joined this forum and need to figure out where to post to get ideas on pricing. This forum is HUGE!

It depends on the country, because in Canada they called it the "SR5 V6" and "SR5". In the US I don't think they ever said SR5 if it had an i4. I don't know what they were doing with the names in 2000

I thought the SR5 only came with a v6, as sr5 was the model with many options including the v6 but just short of the limited as far as options.
Even within the sr5 there were options...leather, locker etc
and the 99 and 2000 had the highlander edition labeled as an sr5

I also agree you can see these cars with badges people have put on to make them appear better or worth more,in all my years I have seen several "Limiteds" that were not "Limited's"
