2000 suspension--- nothing crazy please

I have a 2000 SR5 4x4 with 100,000 miles on the clock. I'd like to get replacement shocks (& struts?) and possibly coils. But I don't want the ride quality to become truck-like in the process. I had a 1990 that I put Old Man Emu coils & shocks on and while it was fine for that vehicle, the 2000 isn't the 1990.

I've looked around on-line and I'm only seeing the more off-road oriented components. Other than Toyota factory stock parts, what are my options?

Why not just go with Toyota factory parts again? Most if not all the aftermarket coils are to be more off road oriented. I would go with factory coils if you want to keep the factory ride quality and as far as shocks go, Bilsteins are good and used on the TRD pickups. Otherwise Tokicos are what mine came with stock.

I was thinking about doing something similar myself. The 1999 was supposed to have the tallest factory suspension. I thought about just trying to recreate that on my 1997 rather then going for the 3"+ most basic kits seem to start at. Sonoran Steel has a kit that basically does that. Does anyone know of other ways to get that 1999 lift height and still have a good smooth OEM ride?? Like maybe Bilsteins as brian2son pointed out and OEM 1999 springs or even quality aftermarket springs that are basically the equivalent of the 1999's?

I just did the OME 881/906 upgrade and ride quality is significantly better than factory.
