2000 T4r ltd. hessitation after hot start

I apologize if this is redundant but I tried to search. 149K miles.New Cat, new transmission,new O2 sensors. Runs fine from cold start but if you turn the engine off and restart it will loose power, not respond at all to the gas pedal and back fire a couple of times and then runs fine again.No codes. Does not show up in computer. Very dangerous trying to merge in traffic. Just finished a 2500 mile trip pulling 3000lbs trailer. Ran flawlessly and averaged 18 miles/gallon.Have been wrestling with this for 3 months. Had cat and o2 sensor codes but cleared them.Cannot find any vacuum leaks. What next??

Clean that sensor that goes into the AIR FILTER..
is it the EGR? I cant remember. But it is IN the air filter.

I cleaned it and no more probs. After you clean it, you must let it dry. Then if I were you put 92+ octane and let it run in your truck for a couple of weeks.

Nope , Still stumbling frot warm start.

The backfiring would suggest to me that you probably need a valve adjustment.
