Hi. I have an '01 SR5. The brake rotors warp very easily. I do tow with it occasionally but try to go easy on the brakes. Is this a common problem with this year? Any recommendations on upgrading the rotors and pads? Thanks.

Oh yeah...just do a search, brakes are all over this website. I just upgraded my brake to tundra brakes. I highly recommend it, especially if you tow.

The rotors on the 4runner are thin, heat up quickly and warp easily. The Toyota Tundra brakes will fit depending on what wheels you have.

How much?

Do you have an idea on how much a job like that would run?

I've have two 3rd Gens that I love. One has a brake clicking problem that I simply cannot stand or find a mechanic that can fix. Thinking about ripping them out and starting over...

On my 00' Limited

i think parts and labor was around $400 for the tundra calipers and rotors.

Do upgrades ever end? Had my 01 for a tad over a month now. Still going thru things on it. Hate the mushy brakes and mine has a click also, annoying. Will look into brake kit now
