2001 4runner stereo power issue

Curious what my course of action should be on troubleshooting this..

Stereo stopped working, wouldnt turn on
Replaced with new JVC double din, bought wiring harness adapter at best buy
Wired and hooked up, antenna goes up when plugged in, that wiring issue I can solve..
Stereo still has no power, how can I trace this back without buying ever wiring harness in there?

Thanks in advance, new 4runner owner and loving it. Spent a pretty penny but got one with less than 80K on it, exactly what I wanted.

It's pretty simple power wise, just one wire from the battery for +12 and one from the ign. switch plus ground. Download the service manual and use the schematics to check out the wiring with a DVM. You'll probably find the fuse blown in the battery wire or something simple like that. Just start at one end and go along logically with the meter until you find the interruption.

Don't do anything unrational. Open the fuse panel next to the Hood Release Latch under the steering wheel and replace the ACC fuse.
