2001 remote not working, rear wiper/defog not working

These all came about at the same time. Not sure if they are linked or not.

2 different original keyfobs - replaced the batteries.
They will only allow the rear window to go down.
Will not trigger the door locks.

Rear wiper, defog and rear window dash switch do not work.

I checked the fuse under the hood - 15amp and it is good.
I rolled the rear window up and down with the key, worked fine.
I did not notice anything out of the ordinary.

I tried to reprogram the keyfob.
I could not get the truck to enter program mode..

Any thoughts on what I should look at next?

I found this part number 89533-35170
This is the front ECU

In my troubleshooting diagram this comes up as a possible culprit for all my problems.

I want to take this and have a look to see if it is bad. Not sure how I do that....
