2001 T4R SR5 question

I just got a used 2001 T4R SR5 thats decked out. Its pretty much a limited - it has running boards, a roof rack, a sunroof and everything. I have not got the manual yet as it is in the mail. I have a rear view mirror with the temp. and compass buttons. The compass works great but when I hit the temp button it just says OC. Anyone know what the deal with this is and how I can fix it???

Try disconnecting your battery to reset it.

OC means open circuit....one of two things are wrong.....either you don't have the temp unit/or it's there but not plugged in...the second thing is you may have a cut wire lead......

in the back of the mirror there should be a plug. how many wires are coming out of it?

if its 2 wires, you may not have the temp plugged in. if its 3, then theres some other issue.

1 wire is the ground
1 wire is the compass
1 wire is the temp
