2001 Tranny Drain and fill question

I've done searches on the drain and fill on my 2001 sport 4R 2WD. I just wanted to know:

1. how much tranny fluid I should get ? ( I've seen from 1.7 qts to 5 qts? which one is it)

2. Which fluid to use: Toyota ATF IV or Mobil 1 ( if Mobil 1, which one?)

get 5 quarts. it will drain between 3 and 4. I used mobil 1 atf. as far as i know there only is one.

If you measure what you drain, you'll know exactly how much to refill.

i wouldnt say that exactly. it would get you close no doubt, but some of it is going to be trapped, or in the filter, so it wont be exact.
