short version: 265,000 miles, good mechanical condition, average cosmetic condition, ~2.5" lift, bike rack not included, tent is negotiable but I would prefer to keep it and will not sell it without the vehicle.
Long version: When my 325k 2000 Tacoma was totaled in the hail storm last year I set out to replace it with another Tacoma, but was having trouble finding one. I opened up my search to 4Runners and eventually found this one. The previous owners were selling due to a move to Maryland and while they had not kept maintenance records I called the shop where they claimed it was serviced, told them the VIN, and they verified that it had been cared for. Foolishly I did not request a printout of this info and do not recall the name of the shop. In any case, the previous owners had a beautiful house with a private tennis court - I'm pretty sure it was well cared for.
In my time of ownership I have done the following;
-Bilstein 6112 Front shocks/coils
-OME Nitrocharger Sport rear shocks
-OME 890 rear coils
-Toytec diff drop
-Custom pan-hard correction bracket + RSG alignment
-New OEM lower ball joints
-Moog swaybar endlinks front & rear
-Steering rack bushings
-B&M trans cooler (This was not done for towing, rather to eliminate the possibility of the "pink milkshake" radiator leak)
-OEM Toyota fuel filter
-Goodyear Wrangler Authority 267/75/16 tires and 4runner
-Optima deep cycle battery
- NGK plugs/wires
-LED interior lights
-Weathertec mats
-Oil changes every 3-4k
When I purchased the car it already had a Kenwood bluetooth receiver.
The car has no know mechanical issues and a clean bill of health from a Blackstone Labs oil analysis from 6 months ago. I know it's a cliche, but I would drive across the country in this tomorrow. For what it's worth, in December I did drive to California and back. So that's what's good, lets talk about the bad
Cosmetically it's probably average
-some fading paint on horizontal surfaces
-dents and dings, 2 decent ones on the rear bumper
-2 tears on the drives seat that might be 1/2 inch each
-dash separating in the front (this has gotten no worse in my time of ownership)
-scratches and wear on the interior/exterior that would be expected for a vehicle of this age
-crack on the rear tailgate interior trim
-1 cracked foglight - was still functioning last I checked
-steering wheel is worn
-I have not felt the need to do UCAs, but your preference may vary. Alignment is just on the edge of factory specs for caster
This would make a killer turnkey camping/hiking/colorado rig for someone. I am interested in selling because I just haven't been offroading since I bought this rig. I'm not opposed to keeping it, but I spend a lot more time on the highway and going up easy dirt roads these days. It would be nice to have something with a little more creature comforts and the ability to tow more allowing for a camper in the future. If this sells I'll probably end up in a gx470 or Tundra and do my best to leave it stock. 3 keys, 2 fobs, and a cargo cover included.
Photos were taken 5/8. As pictured, little attempt to clean the interior was made. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
