2002 4runner weight loss pics better offroading/mpg's

So I put my 4runner on a diet. So far I have removed the running boards, spare tire, and skid plates shown. I will probably be taking off the front sway bars later for more travel. I already have camburg coil overs in front. Do you guys have any other ideas how I could shave off some more weight?

Restroom before you go anywhere, don't eat or drink anything leading up to a wheeling expedition.

Take the doors off too.

Loosing 100Lbs is not going to save you relatively any gas, plus not to mention loosing your spare tire is not so smart off-roading. I can't tell if you are serious or trolling

Keeping the seats for my friends and all I do is sand duning so I don't have to worry about flats. I'm thinking of making my own chromoly cross members. Does anyone know of some light weight rims?

Volk's, Gram Lights, or if you don't want to spend thousands, go look at the stuff JdMeF9SiR2 and FNWheels have in the for sale section on this forum. Most of the wheels they carry are in the 20-23 lb range (I think).

Easy

your welcome

by taking your friends to the dunes you are adding more weight then you can remove from your 4runner without replacing everything with aluminum, which obviously isn't possible.

Shave off the weight and leave your friends or let them use their own vehicles otherwise this whole thread will do you no good man.

On a serious note, your rear hatch isn't doing anything if your in the dunes and will shave some weight. It's just a pain taking it off and back on. The skid plates are negligible.

I usually go to the dunes alone and meet up with friends there. But next thing you know I got a friend as passenger and some girls in the back. And as for the rear hatch I'm gonna ditch it later and put plexi glass once I get another daily driver.

Budbuilt.com makes an aluminum IFS skid. I've been considering it. I like to stay light too. I've been without my spare for years.

You can take off your roof rack rails, yes, they are light but I get your point of doing what you can to save a few pounds here and there. Have you removed the rear hitch, if you have one?

Also, smaller lighter tires? I know the BFG 265/70/16 is a few pounds lighter per tire than the 265/75/16

As far as rims go...the aluminum stock rims are already pretty light but I bet you could find lighter ones.

Yeah I just took my hitch off today I won't be towing anything for awhile. Those tires sizes are the ones I like I'm not a big fan of big tires they look cool but not practical for what I do. I been looking for a aluminum skid plate il check that out.

Where are you located? I'd be interested in taking those skid plates off your hands...
I have a trip planned for monticello canyon and I'm definitely putting them on back for that. But il hit you up if I buy that aluminum skid
