2002 auto lock and unlock

Believe me I have searched thoroughly without a solution. I want my doors to lock when I take the truck out of park. I also want them to unlock when I put the truck back in park. I can't find anywhere anyway to do this on the 3rd gen.
I found instructions for 4th and 5th gen. I know it's on here somewhere. If someone could give me the directions or post a link I would really appreciate it. I have the factory remote with three buttons and the rear window button on the bottom. I know you don't use the remote to get the truck to unlock and lock when going through park. Thanks for your help.

Mine locks with the ignition as long as all the doors are closed at the time the car is turned on. Does yours not do this? It's the same thing as it locking when put into gear basically, just slightly different.

Thanks. The LED security light is supposed to go solid after you turn it to on five times. Mine does not come on. Must be a wiring problem. All doors and windows are closed. I can hear a click but no red light and no chirp.

I'm guessing wiring issue as well. Does the key fob work? Can it lock, unlock, and open the rear window? If the key fob works, then maybe the LED security light is busted or the wiring came loose. FWIW, I don't think my light comes on either.

All of the buttons on the Key fob work. The LED for the security system blinks when I take the key out and goes solid for thirty seconds after the truck is locked with the FOB. So, the light works. I read the instructions and after the fifth time of turning it on, the light should go solid. Then after closing the door and turning the key back to lock, the light should blink and the Piezo should chirp. All I hear is a faint click. STUMPED !
