My 4runner is sagging slightly on the rear - I want to bring it back to original height or an additional 1/2' - Any recommendations?

for an 02, thats weird. way to soon for that to happen.

you can swap out to new springs that are oem, or get perf. product springs or you can get a spacer.

From what I've been told, the rear springs are not very good. With that said, I have spacers in mine that level out my lift and I'm fine with it even if they could be better.

Your best bet are performance product (H&R) rear springs. Be warned though, you may get a raked look (rear higher than the front).

he will def. get that look.. so he'll want to swap em all out.

youll also get some lift too...

I can get you some rear spacers that will do the trick and won't cost much.

i believe there was a recall on this by toyota. Check with them first. It was a simple replacement of the coils.

I think I'll just get new springs any good brands that you guys recommend...minimal lifting so I can continue to use my oem struts

I've installed Airlift Airbags inside the rear coils (install including compressor, in cab guage, etc, was EASY!)...the rear never bottoms out now, (it used to with just two people in the backseat).

Rides a little firmer, but not harsh.

If you buy just the airbag kit (without the compressor and guage) it'll run you around a $100, but if you want the full kit, it'll cost around $300...the basic kit requires you to locate the hoses and valve somewhere under the vehicle (I've installed on the backside of the rear bumper.) I'd recommend springing the extra $$ and have the ability to control the ride from inside the cab.

Aloha!

for lifting the rear by replacing the rear coils, while still using the stock shocks.....i think the only thing out there are the pp springs. they are $199 for the set for the rear.

if you do that, you will gain about 1.25" of lift, and to take care of the raked look, you can get a 1" spacer for the front. that would be easy, and give you 1" up front, and 1.25" in the rear.

or...you can just get used or new oem coils, put them in, and see if they sag again, or if it is just a bad set you have. if they do, then just get the spacer from jason. that would be the cheapest way to go.

You want and inch lift over any '01-'02 Runner then just get a set of '99 OEM springs from Toyota since they have one more coil wind than the later years so it will sit a little taller w/o changing the stock ride which is nice if you don't really off road much.

Really? Is this simular to the Tacoma springs?

No,these are coils for just the 4Runner. '99s and most of the 2000 model year had the taller coils but late 2000 and the remaining 3rd gens got the shorter springs to make them more road worthy. The drop was typically a full inch.

The taller springs don't effect suspension wear or any of that? I'd like to be a little taller, but I don't wanna stress my ride too much. I have an 02 limited by the way.

nope, they dont effect suspension wear at all.

the only thing you need to worry about in your suspension are the springs and the shocks.

youre replacing the springs and your stock shocks wont be effected in the least by the 1" of difference in height.
