2002 SR5 4Runner door lock question

Just foud this site,and lot of great info on here..I recently got a 2002 4wd 4runner SR5 model (love it so far,replacing my tacoma)..

Question I have is about the door locks, when I go to start it all the doors lock and unlock when I shut it off (nice feature),but I really don't need it,so is there any way to disable this feature to where it won't lock everytime i start it up? I looked in the owner's maual and searched on here, but couldn't find anything..

I'm surprised you don't like it. I wish all my cars had that feature.

you can change it. i originally had it on mine but hated it. it involved using the key fob for me all the info was in V.I.P. security system that came with my Sport.
