2002 sr5 runner front seat

I have a problem and maybe somebody on this site can help.
I am in the process of tring to replace carpet in my runner when i found that
the front outboard mount bolt on the front passenger seat, spins and i can not remove the bolt.
Are the nut plates welded in for that bolt and if so or not how do i gain access to the nut or nutplate that the bolt was attached to.

Bingo! you got it they r welded, your not going to get it just with a ratchet thats 4 sure, i used my impact on it and spun it really fast to snug it up then i broke my nut off. let me tell you! its a Pain in the A$$ trying to keep the nut in place while the carped and seat r down and puting the bolt back in. i welded it back to hold it but broke loose when i was tightening it back down.

maybe super glue? but yes the weld is broken, good luck

Theres a pic of the mounts in this thread. Good luck with it, your best bet is to cut the head of the bolt off.

Where do you live? You might be able to find someone on the board that can help you out.

Just go to harbor freight and buy the 4 1/2" angle grinder they have for $12.99 and some metal cut off wheels (10 pack is like $8). Plus having an angle grinder comes in real handy when you start seriously modding your 4Runner
