2002 SR5 won't turnover

Went to fire up the 4Runner this morning and couldn't get it started.
The started cranked but the engine didn't crank over.
Battery is fine (wipers work).
I think it's from starting it up, backing it out of garage, then pulling back in to make room for the snowblower. That took all of 45 seconds so I'm wondering if that's connected somehow.
When I get home I'm gonna check my Haynes manual and take it from there but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas as to what the problem could be here.
Again, the starter's cranking just fine, it's just not firing the engine up.
plugs maybe?
Thanks

You say the starter cranked but the engine didn't crank:confused:

Did engine turn or just the starter? Did it sound like the electric starter motor just whirring away like crazy or did the whole engine crank normally and not start?

If it was just whirring away the starter drive took a dump. It can be replaced but most opt for a rebuilt starter.

The starter was cranking the engine, I think, it just wouldn't actually start.
Let me give it another try when I get home (about an hour) and I'll confirm.

The engine definitely cranked (NOT just the starter) but wouldn't turnover. I almost got it to turn but was unsuccessful. Took a break so as not to wear out the starter but dumped a bottle of Heet in the thank to make sure I don't have some water in the lines/gas tank.
I'll try it again in a couple hours.
