2002 Taco V6

my wife's '02 4 dr Tacoma V6 is due for the state inspection soon. About 77,777 miles on it (CA model). I figure plugs and air filter to help out. Is this 3.4 V6 the same one in 4Runners, something about bad timing chiain?? Anything else simple to clean up on her ride?? thanks guys

I am not sure what you are asking? Did it not pass the state inspection? If something is wrong with emissions the check engine light would come on. If you have not done a tune up, it could use one. As far as something bad about the timing chain, the 3.4 has a timing belt and should be changed at 90,000. I haven't heard anything bad about the timing belt, far from it.

Passed Inspection. Got to love Oregon, 5 minutes and never left the truck.
