2002 tail lights fit a 97?

just want to check with all you guys if 2002 tail lights will fit my 97. i want the 'newer and brighter' taillights, i think from 99-00 for my 97, but wondering if 2002s will fit. thanks, dd

(Most dealers charge $120/each.) Apparently, remember to ask for the "Jason Burtman Discount" when you email the link above.

I am not sure if '97 model will have the same harness as the '01-up. Most '99 owners did not have any problems installing this. So, if you can, then check with your local Toyota service (or 4runner manual) to see if the harness is the same thru the years.

how about headlights?

hey thai, thanks for the reply. what about the newer reflector headlights, are those fairly drop in for a 97? if i wanted to put 99-02 headlights in my 97, can i, and do i need another wiring harness? thanks again, dd

Yes. Fairly easy upgrade.
