Possible solution
So this has happened to me twice now (actively having the issue hence me researching this again)…. After messing with the actuators I managed to get it to come fully out of 4wd and stop flashing….but upon trying to reengage it did the same thing again….
The first time I played with the actuators, and everything else except looking at the cv’s… turns out I I chewed up the one cv when engaging the 4wd on a slope and trying to get it going again…my mechanic found it in 10min upon putting it in a lift… a day later and a new set of cvs it was fixed.
If you can manage to mess with the actuator and force the 4wd to disengage and stop the flashing light, leave it like that because it won’t go back into 4wd and you can at least drive it until you take a look at the front suspension.
Currently when I turn my wheel with the front end up I can hear a grinding coming from the front driver side so I’m guessing I screwed it up yet again while running the mountain.
