2003/2004 Sport Interior

Hello all...

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but, please bear with me, as I'm new to the board. Is there any truth to the rumor that charcoal is no longer an available for 2004 Sports? I heard it's been changed to light grey. Help please, as I'm about to order one...thank you...

Try either talking to your dealer and getting a 2004 brochure or going to the Toyota web site and configuring the truck you want. They should have the conclusive information.

I don't know if it will help, but I just bought an 04 Sport and they did not give me an option for the interior color. I guess mine is the light grey, although it still looks nice and I never saw the charcoal to compare. I can post pictures of the interior if you want, unfortunately right now it's raining, so maybe tomorrow.

Unforuntately; you can only post one image per post. If you see more than one picture, the person is using image hosting to put the pictures up, like MontyPics. Your becoming a real expert with those pictures.

The Gulf States web site listd two colors, but both had "stone" in the name and no pictures....so it was not helpful.

Have you tried a 2004 brochure from the dealer?

That's odd. The website still lists Dark Charcoal as an interior color for the Sport Model in the following exterior colors:
Stratosphere Mica
Galactic Gray Mica
Black
Titanium Metallic
Natural White

This is from the section called "Photos and Colors" However, when I try to build a sport model, it only lists the stone color as a choice but shows picture of the charcoal interior. I think they just haven't updated the "Build your toyota" section completely.

And if I'm not mistaken, the pictures toyogirl posted are of the charcoal interior. From what I've seen, only the seats are the charcoal color while the plastic panels of the car are the stone (gray) color.

I hope this makes sense.

Just remember that Build Your Toyota may divert you to the web site for the distributor. For example, here it takes you to http://www.shopatgst.com (Gulf States Toyota).

I used the build your own section for my zip code and that is what was available there. I just checked my 04 Brochure and it shows dark charcoal as the color for the Sport.
What gives?

I'd suggest configuring what you want, then checking with the dealer to ensure the color codes match the configuration. It's confusing being told different things by "authoritative" sources.

Right now the dealer has preferenced the Sport V8 with stratosphere mica for me. Hasn't found one yet but he said it comes with the charcoal interior.

I think that is a perfect choice... the best of all colors!

I'd be so jealous if you get the stratosphere mica, I thought it would look great but they told me at the dealer that it just never happens in the sport??? When I bought mine their were 160 being shipped and they were all white, galactic grey, or black, and only 2 out of those were black. I guess I could have waited for the blue, but I'm impatient. Good luck, I'd love to see pictures if you do get it in blue...I wonder why the limited selection of colors???

When I bought mine, there were only two on the west coast that were available or going to be available. I got lucky with finding it.

Well that is the color I really want. Hope the dealer can find one. Wonder if it would have to be ordered from the factory. I also liked the green that they had in 03 but unfortunately its no longer around. I gotta call the dealer and see whats up and what my options are as far as getting this color in the sport V8.
