Agree and dis-agree, nothing wrong with doing that to a car, I use to do stuff like that all the time in my Vette. If you build a car to do that great, but what I don't like is where that is done. Was that your lawn you just tore up?
 
He's 19, who didn't do less than smart things at that age? It all appeared to be on private property so why not have at it. OP - don't be mad if you crash or break something but enjoy your truck.
 
Yes he's doing stupid things. Only two things are different now than they were when I got my first car 40 years ago at 14 years old. No videos to show how stupid we were or that could be used against us. My first car, a 1965 Mustang cost me $250 and when it broke I fixed it myself. My donuts where served on the HS baseball field. It was called running the bases. Other ones were served on the smooth concrete of the outdoor basketball court.

V8Man's on the money. Better doing donuts than street racing like I did at 19 in my $300.00 '57 Chevy. I am eternally grateful YouTube didn't exist to save my stupid kid stuff for all to see!

Ahhh... Those were the good days huh guys? when we didn't have all of this technology to account for , or to show our kids what NOT to do at that age.. lol ...
 
Ease up on the kid! It looks like you had some fun good for you! the video sucked but ohwell. Also you need to replace your front left running light lol.

I am also eternally grateful we didn't have smart phones with cameras for all of the crazy stuff we did at that age. So donuts and playing with your 4runner is minimal from what we did so who cares! Its your truck if you break it or ruin it so no skin off my back. The only thing I would be concerned with was where it was done and any trouble that could get you in.

Also if you wanna have more fun try that in mud!

I think it is cool and I am 59. I did a lot dummer stuff with my muscle cars when I was his age. As long as you were not tearing up someone elses property and are willing to tear up your 4runner then have at it. I broke a lot of parts back in the day but fixed it all myself. I would not do that with my 4runner but I know my son would.

It was private property of my friend. He agreed to let us do whatever as long as we didn't hit a pole or anything like that. I never would do that on public property. I'm sorry the video quality was bad cause I shot it from my phone. I'm 19 and I had a lot of fun doing it. I take full responsibility if something happens to my truck.
 
If you're gonna tear up your 4runner doing donuts and burnouts, at least film it in the daytime so we can all enjoying watching a clearer video :)

The only reason I wasn't doing "stupid shit" like this at his age is because my car was underpowered and FWD. I'd done this in a heartbeat if I actually had a worthwhile car, lol.

Thumbs up for having the commonsense to do this on private property and not public roads where you can hurt others :thumb:

i will shoot for a daytime video when i get back from new york, that video was more of spur of moment kind of thing
 
Thanks for posting. Now we all know to look out for your truck on the road, and if its ever for sale. Soon you will learn that spending money on going cool places and to awesome trails, is way better than spending money on silly repairs and tires due to stuff like this. You asked what we think? I think that doing this to a demo derby car is cool. Not a perfectly serviceable truck.
 
I don't see anything wrong with this, as long as it was done with the permission of the property owner.

In fact, doing questionable stuff like this is how I learned the limits of the vehicles I drove when I was younger. There are way too many drivers out there who only experience the limits of their vehicles in emergency situations when it's way too late.

So I'm all for this. Have fun, learn about your vehicle, be respectful of others property and safety, and be prepared to pay for the repairs if you do exceed your limits.

And most of all, enjoy being young!
