Just bought a 2003 4Runner Limited yesterday for a bit over half of blue book. Runs excellent. It has a few issues though.
1) Battery indicator won't turn off in the gauge cluster. It has a new battery and aftermarket rebuilt alternator. I see 14V at the battery with lights/wiper/heat-fan turned on at 2,000 RPM. Seems it's charging well enough. Wiring issue?
2) Dome light. It won't turn off in the 'Off' position, and the lights never turn off if in 'Door'. With it set to 'Door', the dome light will stay on driving down the road. The rear cargo light seems to work normally. If I lock the doors with the key fob, the dome light *does* turn off after a few seconds.
