2003 4runner limited v8 4x4 tire help please!!!

Hi, everyone. Looking for peoples input. I've been online all day looking for tires for my 2003 toyota 4runner v8 limited 4 x 4. I have no idea anymore. Here is what I selected, i would appreciate as much input as possible. Thank you.

I'm looking for a all terrian tire. I live in chicago so our snow days are bad, but i want this tire to be all season. Thanks again.

4x4 Tires

Hey there I have owned quit a few trucks and I like the Uniroyal Larados (spelling) 265/70/16 and 255/70/16 and 265/70/17 great tires...good luck...CSM-H

I also live in Chicago. This evenings snow made it a wild ride - I need tires real bad.

ANyway, been doing research, and I have decided on the Goodyear Fortera Tripletreds (265/65/17) for my 2004.

Aggressive tread, great traction in wet and snow.

Kelly Safari Trex

I use Kelly Safari Trex.

I wasn't sure about them when I first got them, but they've proven to be excellent for the highway (regularly make trips 4hrs one way) and great for my basic offroading.

I drive through clay-type mud about 1.5 ft thick (drags skidplates, and up the old road with big ruts and they do great!

I am VERY pleased to get a set of tires that get me about 20k miles (1 set per year). I run 40 psi and the ride is very good.

They aren't worn out completely, but I replaced them last night (I ordered before the ice storm hit last night).

Boy, it was like NIGHT and DAY when I drove to the tireshop and coming back. It was a real effort to spin or slide ("Trying out the VSC" ) This was in an ICE storm.

My tireshop guy now has them on his truck after my initial reports last year. He loves them, too.

I'm hooked!

Ignore the 50k mile warranty thing. I could've made about 25k or so, but I prefer tread on my tires. I've had the same experience from GoodYear and other name brands on all my vehicles. Figure half the rated mileage.

So i decided on the firestone destination A/T.

I went to my local discount tire. They had matched the price with tirerack.

OTD i paid 770. I had paid extra for the tire replacement warranty. So if any thing happens to the tire they will replace it.

I will give my 2cents about this tire.
