If you put the better hitch on with a trans cooler the tow rating should be 6700lbs. Just because you put a 7Klbs hitch on doesn't automatically raise the tow rating to that amount. Also remember that the rule of thumb is you should be able to tow 80% safely, which is approx 5300lbs.

There is a small black radiotor infront of the large radiator on the front. Is that a tran cooler?

About the Hitch, would this one be good enough to bring the towing up to 6700lbs?

For some reason I thought you were talking about a V6. With the V8, trans cooler (which is the small black heat exchanger/radiator) and class III/IV hitch you should be OK.
W/WD - 7000 lbs. W/WC - 5600 lbs.(80%)

what does the airlift1000 do?

Think of it as the poor man's rear air suspension

Basically it gives the rear suspension more support & prevents the back from sagging when the rear of the truck is loaded down or you are towing something with a heavy tongue weight.

I think you can get a set of the airlift 1000s for around $85

LSU is spot on - an inexpensive way to stop the sag when fully loaded. The air bags fit in the coils and stiffen them up a bit. Kind of like a huge bump stop. They have air lines and you can adjust from 0psi to 20psi. I run mine unloaded at 0-5 and when hauling around 12-15. Makes for a stiff ride if pumped up and unloaded.

Colemanfu - nice looking rear end you got there . I have the Airlift1000 ($85.00) and Hidden Hitch ($162.00) ordered.

On a different, but related subject, I'm going to ask my boss for a big raise so that I can affort $110.00/month insurance for this hot 4Runner (I think that's a little bit too much for 26 yr old married man )
