Here are a few shots of my truck. I've had it almost a year now and is the JDM equivalent of the US 4Runner Limited.

I have full leather, TRD catback exhaust, Dueler A/T REVO 265-70-17 shoes, rear factory Zexel Torsen LSD, multi-mode 4WD, and the 3.4L 5VZFE engine. Yes that's what engine I have! I also have the THULE Lappland Roof rack/basket.

I use Griot's products exclusively to wash and wax with the Porter Cable RO buffer and Best of Show wax. Nothing better to get that stop and stare look!

Hey Mods/Admin-

Any reason we can't link to other hosts picture sites? I've posted on other boards using this same forum software and don't have any problems linking to HPPHOTO to insert images using the IMG tag.

Can you turn that on here?

Hmmm...let me try with the IMG tags:

image1.jpg

Now I will try with the html:

<img src="http://w1.nirai.ne.jp/image1.jpg">

Not sure what the problem is. Maybe that site is down right now, or maybe they no longer allow external linking of their images :dunno:

That's a different URL from the one I used, let me try again with the IMG tags:

LinkPhoto

And I'll try again with the html:

<img src="http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkPhoto?GUID=653c59a5-4980-42bc-2140-77fc15177954&size=">

Hmmm...for some reason the IMG tags aren't working, maybe cuz the link doesn't end in a jpg or something :dunno: In any event, it looks like the html is working so you can use that to display your externally hosted pics. BTW, nice looking 4Runner, er, Hilux Surf :)

Thanks Greg.

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean by use html?

Woodbert, I edited this post and added the html code that will display your pic, the pic should now be showing up below. Go into edit mode and you should be able to see what I added to make it work.

Welcome aboard!
It's nice to see some oversea owners on this board. :)

AFAIK, the hood scoop for the HiluxSurf in Japan is for the turbocharged 4-cylinder model. Less horsepower but with more torque than the 3.4L V6.

roof rack

Woodbert has the Thule roof rack. I have a Yakima system. They look virtually identical, the only readily apparent difference is the square vs round cross bars.

Hey Woody, is Okinawa that nice? The background looks like it's a nice place to be. Are you in a GS position or contract? I bet the COLA is a lot!

Woodbert, how much is that front mirror over there in Japan.

I'm not sure what the mirror costs since it factory install on all models. It's actually two mirrors in the housing. One looks accross the front bumper from left to right, and the other looks down the left tire edges so you don't scuff them on the curbs and other things.

mp- Yes, it's really nice here. For the last 10 years I've been GS and I'm a retired Marine. You Army guys have a really nice base here called Torii Station. One of the most beautiful places on the island.

And the COLA is nice but the weakening $ sucks!

Finally someone with a Hilux Surf!!! Hey Woodbert, do you guys drive on the left in Japan?
I notice your steering wheel is on the same side as mine. I have a '93.

Yep, RHD and we drive on the left.

I had a '93 before I got the 4th gen. I really liked the 93 but I had the 3.slow motor and the headgasket blew and I couldn't see spending the money for repair so I got the 4th gen.
