new member here. you guys post a lot of good info. im interested in putting a 3'' revtek lift with some revos. from what i see most people are happy with this. are there any downsides to this set up. i use my 4runner mostly for dd but would like to start offroading a little.

Go for it! The Revtek lift is a great product and easy to install. Your ride will firm up a bit and give you better handling with less body roll in the turns. The Runners should come this way from the factory. As for tires, go with 265/70-17 or 265/75-16. Revos are ok, but you may want to look at BFG AT KO or TerraGraplers. they are a little more aggressive offroad and perform well on the road in all conditions.

SCOTTB18- Since I have the Revtek lift kit I know it inside and out. I looked at the Cornfed site and didn't see any specifics. I believe Revtek is now using billet aluminum front spacers and are also using a brake line extension (needed if you plan on 4wheeling). A good source to talk to about any lift is Jason at Wheelers offroad (541) 474-2879. He can give you the lowdown...
