2003 Limited Air Suspension help

Need some help. The rear of my 2003 Limited looks like it has a lift kit. The air suspension seems to have the height set wrong. The control will raise/lower the rear end but it runs quickly from normal to low and takes a long time to go from normal to high and back.

If you have the air suspension, would you measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the rear fender and the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender? I'd like to see if the distance I have is normal.

Actually I'm running into some issues with my rear suspension as well (harsh ride) - I also have the rear air setup.

In order to measure the ride height you have to do it a bit differently (don't use the rear fender).

1) Make sure your tire pressures are all correct and equal.
2) Measure from the wheel center to the ground. This is measurement (C).
3) Measure from the center of the rear lower control arm forward bolt (where it bolts to the frame bracket just in front of the wheel) to the ground. This is measurement (D).
4) Subtract measurement D from measurement C ( C - D ).

For 4WD rear air suspension, this height should be 78.9mm (3.11 inches) when in (N) mode on the air suspension.

I worked on this yesterday. The gap between the tire and the fender was so big I could stick my head into the wheel well. I jacked the truck up by the differential and cycled the ride height a few times. I dropped it to the ground and recycled it and now it's normal.

LP, if you are having ride quality problems, your air bags my be jacking the truck up. It changes the drive shaft angle and also makes it very stiff.

The saga continues. The height control will raise/lower with the control. However it will show N on the dash but the rear will be raised into the high position. It does it on its own and it's random. I'll lower it to L and let the control raise it back to N. The actual height will be correct and then it will randomly raise while driving.

Any ideas? The parts are expensive and the problem is so random, I can't see taking it to a dealer and have them tell me they can't reproduce the problem.
