2003 Limited Glove Box Light

I just bought a 2003 4runner Limited and I am swapping the interior lights to LED. I pulled the bulb from the glove box which was burnt out and tried to fit a #74 LED inside. I tried everything and it would just go in and fall right back out. I was pressing hard enough, it just appeared there was nothing there to hold the #74 in. After I got fed up I put the burnt out bulb back in and it popped right in with no effort.

Is the #74 the wrong sized LED for my 4runner? I'm planning on making another order for lights and I'd like to make sure I have the right ones before I do. Thanks in advance.

Everything I've seen says that is correct. I had the same problem my LED glove box light. I eventually got it to work somehow (can't remember what I did) but it didn't last long.

I recently replaced my interior LEDs with stuff from LightSource (username - whitebeauty) and the one he sent fits much better for some reason.

Out of curiousity where were your other LEDs purchased from? Mine were from vleds.com

My other one's came from VLEDs too I believe but I can't say for certain since it's been so long.

I swapped out my interior lamps with V-LED LEDs - except for the glovebox lamp and so far, the front drink holder illumination bulb.

I Didn't change the glovebox lamp because I simply added LED lighting so it's brighter in the top portion, and the bottom. Both controlled by a magnetic switch for turning on when the door opens.

The drink holder illumination is another story... Same issues that you are running in to with the G B lamp. Seems to be too small. It's gone to the back burner as I'm really not sure what I'm going to do to remedy this...

I have an 08 and I was able to swap my glovebox light out with an LED bulb, I used a #74. it was a pain to get the light housing out, and I had to bend the contacts out a bit in order to get the new bulb to sit in there but once I did that it popped right in
