2003 rear springs question

As a follow up to my other post, I really wanted to replace the springs while I was doing the shocks, but didn't because I had a few questions and daylight was running out. Can the springs be changed with just a floor jack and jack stands? I couldn't figure out how to lower the suspension to get the springs out. Would be easy with a lift. How do you lower the suspension to get the springs out using a floor jack and jack stands? Thanks!

Toytec Lifts has quite a few installation guides for pretty much everything. The trick is disconnecting the sway bar to allow your axle to droop further.

I didn't disconnect my rear sway bar, you should be able to set it up with jack stands and a floor jack so that you can droop one side of the axle to pull out the coil, then switch to the other side and do the same thing. If your suspension is set up properly, you will need to disconnect your rear shocks in order to reach the amount of droop to pull out your coils.

Told you I wasn't a mechanic. I had the jack stands under the axle. Makes total sense when you put them under the frame.
