For many reasons such as the head gasket issues with the early V6, lack of 4x4, etc. I’d opt for the ‘08, despite the higher mileage. Obviously, I’d want to see if there was adequate service records though either way. Inmo, that is more important than the mileage. As others mentioned, 4x4 has better resale value, and is a great option to have even if you can’t forsee a need right now. I owned a 2wd V8 Explorer, and with good tires it did fine in the snow because it had a posi rear, but was super difficult to sell! Literally everyone that was interested was super impressed with its condition, until they found out it was only 2wd!:smash: I ended up just giving to one of our boys rather than give it away by being lowballed so much. Obviously, being in MA, having 4x4 is quite handy because of all the snow we get so where you live it may be less important...
Edit: I just noticed your location, so I guess 2wd isn’t a factor unless you want to off-road.
