2003 Sport Edition

Hopefully I will soon be the owner of a 2003 black sport edition 4runner. I am having an inspection done on it, so we shall see.....

My question is about the Daystar and Cornfed lifts I've been reading about on here for the 4th Gen 4runners. Are these both leveling kits, or actual spacer/suspension lifts? Do they last, or do some of you do full suspension lifts?

Here is my situation, I am in sales and am on the road/highways 85% of my time. I want to raise it up a bit, but also want to be able to do a little off roading. I know with the 3rd generations, the spacers wear down and really aren't the best option due to having to go to a full suspension later. What are some of your thoughts to my situation?

I looked between a Black one & Silver one - the Black is SWEET! Congrats! Both are spacers and both lifts will level. Personally, in your case, I would not do a full suspension - at first. Many do little off-roading with Daystars, etc. It'll be a small investment (Daystar kit is $150), provide you with the lift/level, and mostly not negatively affect your ride. If you read through many of the build threads that is exactly how most start out. 2 cents.

I agree 100%. I wish I would have done it this way now. How many miles do you have on your 4R? There will be a time when you will need to start replacing your current suspension which both of us have...XREAS. I paid way to much money in labor when I had my Daystar installed and now have found someone close to me that will help me install a new suspension for pennies. I could have gotten a OME for the price I paid for labor and parts for my current set up. Take your time and don't rush into anything until you do your research...I wish I had.
