2003 Sports Edition Cargo Shelving

I have the 2003 version, and it being the Sports edition also, that means there's no 3rd row of seats, but there is some sort of shelving system that can be folded up or down.

Is this shelving system hard to remove? I want to clean it.

Also, I have never been able to figure out or even tried to set up the cargo netting to hang from the sides to form a basket. Does anyone have any pics or instructions?
