2003 SR5 bumpers and side skirts

Ok, the plastic bumpers and side skirts are annoying and don't look good. If I took my car to the dealer, could I buy the fiberglass and good-looking bumpers and side skirts that every other 4th gen has? And assuming I could, how much would that operation cost approximately?

You probably could but it will expensive, the best bet would be to go to a reputable auto body shop in your neighborhood and have them order the parts for you, better yet use probably after market parts.

Or you could always just get your existing cladding painted to color match the car.

I personallylike the grey cladding on a silver 4Runner, but hey it's your truck so do what makes you happy

I have a 2003 silver with the grey claddings and I like it, but i would rather get the silver ones. I did not know that there was a difference in the material. I thought it was just the paint. Does anyone know this for sure?

I too would like to get them the same color as the rest of the body. Would they look nice after they are painted?

The cladding is a different material than the later parts. I believe there are threads with pictures of the cladding after painting. Not sure how well it holds up.

One other possibility to get the parts is at a junk yard.
