2003 V6 Exhaust Leak?

2003 SR5 V6, 2WD

It sounds like I have an exhaust leak coming from the manifold. The dealer said it had no leak. I ask the dealer what the noise was, and he said it is a normal sound for the V6. Anybody know what the sound is?????

I do not think this is a normal sound for a new vehicle.

Yep, it is normal. Mine doesn't always do it. Mostly when cold.

I stopped noticing it about a week ago. It is a shame for a nice new truck to sound like it has an exhaust header problem. Not sure why Toyota hasn't done something about it.

They should just double wall the exhaust manifold. Or go back to making them out of cast iron.
