2004 4runner driver side door lock

Well, good morning to you all. My drivers door lock has been locked and cannot be open in any way - key, manually from inside or with keyless remote.
Seems to be locked or mechanically jammed somehow. Key turns to left and actuator clicks as if trying to lock. All other doors lock and unlock with keyless remote. Key will not turn to right without excessive force and didn't want to break key off.
Can't open door at all so have to enter from passenger side or through rear door.
Anyone have solution to getting door unlocked and open so inner panel can be removed and repairs made, or possible idea on what it might require in terms of repairs along with cost at dealer.

It could be just the lock cylinder or a problem with the keyless remote box. Have you tried graphite in the keyhole? If that doesn't work a locksmith has ways around the stuck lock. If you can get the door open by either of these two methods you can then remove the lock cylinder by removing the rubber plug in the end of the door in line with the lock cylinder and loosening the torx head set screw found under the rubber plug, put your key in the lock and use it as a tool to remove the cylinder from the handle. If after removing the cylinder it still wont turn the trouble is in the cylinder..

I agree graphite is a good place to start. Shoot generous amounts in and rotate/wiggle the key lots. Hopefully you get lucky.

If you find a 4th gen at a junkyard I'd go down with a long flatblade screwdriver (say 1.5 - 2 feet) and see if you can push down on the door latch to get it to release. It'll be a huge help to remove and look at the lock mechanism to practice on. Do us a favor though, maybe don't post how you unlocked the door on the public forum lol.
