2004 4Runner Limited Lift Kit!

Getting the 3" OME lift put on next week! Anybody have any complaints with this kit? I'm getting the UCA's installed as well.:cheers:

Not sure if it'll look a little goofy with only having 265 65 17's on it after the lift but we'll see.

Only complaint I have seen was that some say the rear springs/shocks have a stiff ride. That is subjective and depending on intended use may not matter. OME is a good choice.

Tires should look fine imo, have stock size on my 3" lift. I'll post a picture when I get home if you want

It's a Jayco Jay Feather that weighs only 3500 lbs. It's a good little trailer and the 4Runner pulls it great. Only half the weight of its capacity.

I have the OME lift on my truck and currently have the stock size tires on it and it looks fine. Will be upgrading to a larger size next week but it is fine the way it is. Was gifted a set of BFG MT 255/75 so will be changing size.

I'm a fan of hybrid trailers, I had a Thor Wanderer that was destroyed by a Denver hail storm and replaced it with a K-Z Sportsmen. I love the hybrids, the light weight is a bonus both about the same weight as your Jay Feather.

Looking forward to pics as well since I may downsize my tires next time around.

Stock wheels and stock tire size. Tires are All-Terrains which helps

When these tires need replacing I'll likely be upgrading to 255/75R17. Taller, skinnier tire which should be good for the driving I do, especially since I'd likely get MPG gain from it. Likely mount them on wheels from SCS. That would increase track width without the risk of spacers (And look cooler)

That looks really nice still with stock tires. Love the black rims as well and definitely something I want to do as well. Getting the lift installed on Friday at Slee Offroad in Golden CO. So far these guys have been very accommodating.

The pastidip has held up really well so far, did it this spring and no major damage. Lug nuts have really been the only thing that have worn, and even those you can tell unless looking. It'll last me until I upgrade to new wheels

1.5" in the back from my spacer you may end up with a little more wheel well in the back if running a 2" spring. But it'll look great =) Lift makes an incredible difference in both how it looks AND how you feel driving it.

I have OME 886 and 895 with 5100's and I would definitely recommend something else for the rear. The front is good with a V8 and bumper but the rear jars me on speed bumps.

Granted it looks like you tow some pretty big stuff so the added weight in the rear might be nice. I got the 895''s thinking we'd be towing a boat but then we got a lake house so it stays there.

How does the plastidip work? I assume you have to remove the tires to put it on? I've seen a lot of stuff with it but not sure how it works. I might do that as well...

You could take the wheels off. Dip-your-car on youtube has great how to videos on doing it. I personally wouldn't take my tires off. Ive done many pieces in my interior that were scratched and warn. Just clean and then do like 5 coats.

Super simple, took ~20 minutes stretched over an hour or two. Left tires and wheels mounted. (some take them off)

Cleaned wheels, Plastic bags around the brakes, 3-5 coats and I called it good. I was lazy and it was dark, so I left the overspray on the tires. Removed bags

So unfortunately the lift did not happen. I decided I couldn't drop $2300 right now. Ended up just replacing the suspension all the way around with Monroe shocks/struts. Ended up giving it about a 1 inch lift just because stock was so bad. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to do it.

So unfortunately the lift did not happen. I decided I couldn't drop $2300 right now. Ended up just replacing the suspension all the way around with Monroe shocks/struts. Ended up giving it about a 1 inch lift just because stock was so bad. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to do it.

Thats a bummer! Sadly, $2300 seems REALLY steep for an OME set up and install. I was quoted around 1500 for a complete installed OME kit from SLEE in Golden without updating UCA's. I ended up purchasing an OME kit with 885's in the front and Toytec RCC2.0HD for the back from Toytec for under a grand. A bit stiffer than stock, but I don't think the ride will be as rough as folks are claiming the OME 895's to be. I'm going to do the install myself to keep total suspension upgraed undera a grand!

This was the quote from Slee as well...interesting. This was including UCA's as well as an alignment so I'm not sure what the real difference between what they quoted you. I think the actual quote came in at $2260.

I chose not to add the UCA's as most are stating that they are "usually" not necessary. I have a 3/2 Daystar lift currently and my allignment is within spec and I don't have any wierd drifing or allignment issues currently.

That's good to know actually. The UCA's were $385 plus $165 to install them so there's the price difference almost...
