So this is probably a relatively easy question but I'm stuck trying to get the front bumper cover off to paint it. I have every bolt/screw that out I can find ('every' meaning the 4-10mm ones underneath connecting the cover to the lower bumper brackets; 2 body screws per side underneath at the corners, 1 per side midway up the wheel well and one per side connecting the top corner to the bottom of the actual body). I also popped out the 3 plastic push connectors along the top of the bumper cover where the hood closes down and disconnected the fog lights and blinkers.
The bumper cover is completely loose except for what feels like maybe two connections or bolts and by pulling lightly it appears there are still connections somewhere directly below each headlight. I'm close to getting it off but don't want to break anything by pulling harder if I am missing remaining clips or bolts. Has anyone taken one off an '04 and know what the final steps I'm missing are? I have the diagram but it appears the one I have was for an '03 and the bumper cover assembly is not 1-piece like it is on mine. Thanks in advance for any advice or instruction!!
