2004 headlight,ingition buzzer,and compass not working

I have a 2004 4runner I bought use and the key buzzer and headlight buzzer not working. checked all fuses.The compass on mirror was also not working so I traced wire to kick panel and it looks like a port added option as the way the wire was ran. So I cut the wire to compass and wired it to the fuse block and it worked. So I'm thinking that power might have supplied all but dont know where to look. Can it be some relay. Should the buzzer buzz when lights are left on and key in ingition. Please help with ways to check power and location. Thanks

If you find an answer to your question, I would like to know as well. I have a 2004 4th Gen T4R SR5 that the headlight buzzer does not work in. The key buzzer works fine and it does not have the compass.

There is no headlight buzzer on the 4Runner. The lights will turn off after 30 seconds or if you hit the lock button twice. The key buzzer should work if the key is left in the ignition. There is a little rubber stopper on the driver side when you open the door. Does the light on your driver door turn on when you open it up?
