2004 Heated Seats - Adjustable?

My heated seats are nice, but they really don't get that hot. Can the max temperature be adjusted upward at the dealer?

I know someone with a Nissan Murano who complained that the seats got too hot. The dealer was able to adjust a setting (probably in the ECU) to make their operating range lower.

My seats get pleanty hot. With the dial turned all the way up this winter in tahoe they were warm enough that I turned them down to about halfway after they warmed up.

The seat bottom gets plenty hot here too. I also turn down to half once warmed up.

I don't think that I ever felt the seat back get warm, but then again, I wouldn't expect to feel it through my winter coat...

Mine are plenty warm. I also find myself turning them down after a bit.

but for me, i need more heat. and that was the point of the post, not a survey on whether members were satisfied with their level of seat heat.

Have you checked out another $RUnner with heated seats, maybe there is something wrong with yours?

Mine feels about the same as the BMW or Volvo that we have owned. It takes a minute or two and then starts to burn the bums almost.

I dont think the dealer can crank it up to be hotter if it workiing correctly, it is pretty easy to make sure it gets less hot, but making it hotter is impossible if it works correctly, unless they can put in bigger elements.

The heating coils in the seats cannot get hotter. They are as they are. I'm sure they don't get any hotter for safety reasons and to not damage the seat materials.

We were just trying to help by the way. I don't think your comments above were very appropriate. There is no reason for you to bash the members of this board simply because you did not get the instant answer you were looking for.
