Hello all,
I just got a 2004 V8 LTD with the navigation unit, JBL speaker system, subwoofer in the back right panel, etc. It seems "nice", but very underpowered comapared to a custom system.
My question is, what would you do with the stock stereo to make it sound better and get more punch? Specifically, i would like more power to the stock speakers and to get more bass, whether that means replacing the single sub or using one of my enclosures and amp (from my old vehicle).
From my old vehicle, i currently have the following:
- box of 2 10" subs, wired for one channel
- a 1-channel Sony amp (i think 500 watts) to run that box
- another Obcon box with 2 8" subs
- 4-channel MTX amp (65 watts/channel)
- 4-channel Fosgate amp (65 watts/channel)
What would you guys do with this equipment to upgrade the current JBL w/ navigation system w/ minimal money spent? I don't really want to replace the head unit, just get more sound out of it. And i don't really need to purchase any more subs or amps.
Thanks in advance!
