2004 Nav / DVD Capabilities?

I have a question for all you Nav gurus out there!! Is it possible to get my 2004 Nave to play DVD's? Currently I have a DVD player under my driver seat that play video into a 4 inch screen i have mounted in the cup holder, and sound from the DVD player goes to a VAIS unit which allows me to hear the DVD through my stock stereo.

What I'm looking to do is get rid of the 4 inch monitor in the cup holder and use the Nav unit as the monitor.

I have the back up camera function with this Nav, so I was thinking if its possible to some how put a 3 way switch in, that would allow me to either run the nav as is (stock mode) then flip the switch and be able to see the back up camera even if in DRIVE, and a 3rd switch setting that would allow the DVD player thats mounted under the seat to show the picture on the nav screen.

I know VAIS was going to have a unit that did this a while ago, but never actually came out with it, and their website still says...Call for info.

Any thoughts out there?

I actually just called Vais Tech to see when their AVIC 100i unit was suppose to come out. The Sales guy told me in like 3-4 months. Now I remember when i actually bought my SLI unit from them in 12/2005 , a few months prior to that they were selling the AVIC 100i unit and then pulled it from their line. that was like a year ago now! Im wondering if they are ever really going to come out with the unit...or if anyone else has one thats decent out there!

I saw this company too, and was thinking of going with their basic model
