Hello,
The heater and AC diverter mechanism in the dash, behind the center console is no longer working and needs a new "airbox assembly" as the dealer calls it.
The dealer says the solenoid is no longer working. Apparently this is the part that diverts the heat versus the cold AC air. I'm getting heat on the passenger floor, but not at the driver side floor.
The dealer quote for the entire airbox assembly is $4500. However, they stated that it's only the solenoid that needs replacing. But Toyota does not sell the solenoid separately.
Can anyone direct me to information on the Internet for a breakdown of the parts for this airbox assembly?
Can anyone direct me to where I might be able to find a used working solenoid sold separately?
