2004 t4r wont shift from 2hi > 4hi

I discovered yesterday that my 04 wont shifting into 4hi, the lights keep blinking and it never transfers. I've read/searched many threads, most of which state different methods to try and get engagement (driving straight, turning one way, stopping, going, moving, braking).

I've been looking for some type of service manual for any type of trouble-shooting, but can't find anything. I've seen a few people that have had their accuator replaced, but this was more switching to 4lo I believe.

So does anyone have some helpful trouble-shooting info, or is the point that most people give up and take it to a shop.

ive heard if you get underneath and "bang" the solenoid with a wrench it might "free" it if it is stuck/frozen

Yeah, I've tried that, but got nothing. I'll be taking it to a shop later today probably.
