2004 V6 oil change procedure

This might have been covered in another thread. But recently i have purchased some synthetic oil and i would like to change the oil myself. Is there a procedure list on how to do this?

To drain the oil, I realize I have to take out the a metal cover below the vehicle. This should reveal the drain plug which allows me to drain the oil.

Beyond that, is there anything else i need to be concern about?

From what the mechanix (toyota) told me was that you didn't even need to remove the metal skid plate. This is true on the V6's but not on the V8s.

There is an oval plastic access cover which you have to remove to get to the drain plug. Drain all the oil ( I do it warm, so it flows easier), replace plug with a new gasket/washer, tighten drain plug and reinstall cover. Remove oil filter and replace with new one. Refill with enough oil to meet proper level mark on dip stick.
Start engine and check for leaks. Shut down, let sit for 5 min. and recheck oil level and add if needed.
