2004 V8 Limited 4WD - ATF Dipstick

Hello guys,
Pardon me guys, but I couldn't find any forums or thread that contains the answer for my question.

Do you know where I could find my ATF dipstick. My 4Runner is a 2004 V8 limited 4WD. I just want to check the color of my ATF.

You wo'nt find one because there isn't one. It's a sealed transmission and only has fill and drain plugs.

Sort of, It makes it a PITA to change the ATF fluid.

My Passat I used to have did not have even drain and fill plugs))) Trans fluid was good for the life of the vehicle. Tranny died at 349000 km))) Never reqired any maintenance on it. It was made in Germany (not Mexico) though.

Hello. So when we should be replacing our ATF? I have an annoying case of OCD wherein I couldn't sleep if I know that I haven't changed the fluid )

There doesn't seem to be consensus on "when" to change it. Toyota says never OR 60k if you tow. IMHO unless you do nothing but tow 60k is the "right" interval for most people.

What's going on! OCD? me three, hahha. If the fluids aren't fresh, then I get all psycho. I remember seeing somewhere every 100K is a good interval. If you are very handy, DIY, if not take to the dealer. Should be about $150.00.
