Scroll down and read the part where it says, 'when you do what many of us do change transmission, axle and t-case fluid'. :awais: :awais: That's one reason people are draining/changing fluid. I will change mine early too. WS can't be much more than a full synthetic type IV. Regular auto trans fluid is good for 30-45k typically. Synthetics 60-90k, max? Toyota recommends changing the auto fluid at 60k while towing. Transmissions take so much abuse, cost so much; why take the chance? I consider 4wheelin' similar to towing in terms of transmission fluid.
I installed an aux cooler on mine and I'll still change it every 45k even though that may be overkill.
