What are people seeing in MPG on with the V6 and a 4WD?

I am close to purchasing a 2006 and was curious on "real: MPG.

Would mainly be interested in Hwy mileage.

Thanks in advance

I keep all my gas receipts and compile them in excel occassionally. Over the past year I get on average 18-19mpg tank to tank. I have a pretty aggressive foot around town, though at least half my mileage is interstate at 70-75mph.
On long trips its around 22-23, or 20-21 with kayak and bike loaded up.

I saw 19.05 on my first tank, but thats still braking in. I hope to get 21+ combined when broken in.

Worst Mileage This Year: 15.7 mpg (urban area; congested roads)

Best Mileage This Year: 21.0 mpg (70 to 75 mph steady speed on the highway)

This is "calculated" fuel economy - figured by miles driven and gallons used. Do not rely on the trip computer for accurate miles per gallon results, as it is a bit on the "optimistic" side.

I also keep an excel spreadsheet where I track mileage and maintenance costs, etc... for my truck. I even have a little app on my Treo (TealAuto) that tracks maint costs, fuels costs, trips, etc... Very cool little application.

My lowest mileage has been 17.1 mpg for one tank and most tanks have averaged 18-19mpg for my daily drive, which is all stop and go traffic to and from my work in downtown Atlanta (18 miles each way) with very little freeway driving.

The two trips we've taken the truck has average 22-23 mpg with the AC on and the truck full of stuff with 3 adults (and our dog) in the truck. That's not too bad. :D

See my signature for my calculated mileage for the last two years or so. Your mileage may vary as the newer V6 4th gens come with a 5speed auto while I have a 4speed auto...

Approx. 19-20 mpg mostly interstate driving (daily commute-18 miles each way) with little traffic. When I fill up my tank it usually says around 430 miles until empty.

Mine's an '04 4spd, but over 18,000 miles and the overall average is 20.1 (calculated).

***(all figures are hand calculated by the number of miles driven on the trip odometer divided by the number of gallons at each fill up)***

Highway is around 22+ average MPG (maintaining speeds between 68 and 72 mph)

City is around 18 MPG (mostly speeds between 20 and 40 mph)

Every other tank of gas I run is in 4WD (so basically half of the mileage is 4WD).

I have an 05 sr5 4x4 v6. I live in los angeles and we have alot of traffic. Around town I average between 15-18 depending on how heavy my foot is.

On trips to Mammoth where there is little traffic i get abut 21-23 mpg freeway.

mpg

06 4wd v6, daily drive is about 50/50 highway & city. i'm getting about 18-19 mpg on regular unleaded. if i use premium i get about 1

Great! Im on my 4th tank and am getting about 21 mpg 60/40 highway/city calculated mileage. Love it! Wondering if switching to synth fluids throughout will net me 1 more mpg :D
