2005 4 runner wjust turns over

Yesterday drove our 4 runner 700 miles , parked car now will not start.starter turns over and will not disengage until you turn key to off.
It has never not started in 10 years and 225000 miles.
I am thinking fuel injector, fuel pump fuses,any ideas.

I don't know what trim your truck is but... are you saying that when you turn the key to start it and then release it, it continues to crank until you turn it completely off? If that's what you're saying then it sounds like a worn "Ignition switch". There are quite a few contacts on this switch e.g., power to accessories, power to starter relay, neutral safety position contacts, etc... It would appear that the switch failed, causing the starter circuit to cross w/ the acc power contacts; this would keep the starter cranking when released, but that's only a guess. I'm sure things will turn out okay; let us know, Cheers

Sorry, forgot to mention:

A starter switch also has the responsibility of engaging the fuel, ignition and other vital control systems as well, that would prevent the truck from starting.

If the car is not starting, i believe it will keep cranking up to 25 seconds and disengage on its own. That's one of the feature of that 4runner, just flick it to start and release the key.

i would think the issue is your crank position sensor is bad. do you get any codes?

If the car is not starting, i believe it will keep cranking up to 25 seconds and disengage on its own. That's one of the feature of that 4runner, just flick it to start and release the key.

a few things to look into this problem is to check the following:
fuel pressure - if there's pressure, fuel pump is fine.
ignition coil - not likely since it's not starting. there's 6 or 8 of these which should not fail all at the same time.
fuel injector - not likely since there's 6 or 8 of these.
crank position sensor - most likely since it's not starting. if you let it cool down it might start.

Your guesses are pretty strong wrt a fuel pump failure, however the 6 ignition coils and the fuel pump are all on the very same 10A INJ fuse (engine room); I'd check that before testing everything else just to save time troubleshooting. After that I'd check the ECM for historical/log failure.
