2005 4runner price decreasing???

Hello guys and gals! I'm new to the room but I've been searching around this room for almost a year now. I've been in love with the 4th Gen 4Runner since it first introduced in 2003, but I can't afford to get one until now. I did request several internet quotes from few Toyota dealers in town during the last 3 weeks or so. Of course, each dealer has given a different price for an almost identical vehicle. However, I did request quotes for the same vehicle at the same dealer two weeks after the first request, and supprisingly; the price is $300 bucks lower. Here is what I got:
2005 4Runner Sport Edition V6
Option: Double decks cargo system
JBL WITH 10 SPEAKERS
ToyoGuard Protection
Set of floor mats and trunk mat
QUOTED PRICE: $25,447 (After all dealer cash setback, promotion and rebates) Plus TAX, TAG, TITTLE AND DEALER FEE. So OTD total going to be around $27,400
Question: Is it a good deal? Should I play them down some more or just ask them to add the spoiler on for free, and pay for the price above? Thanks in advance for any inputs

Welcome to the board! Is this a 4WD or 2WD truck you are looking at? It sounds like a good deal though, no matter what it is. I would tell the dealer that it is a done deal if they throw in the spoiler. They may not fully comply, but I am sure they will go down at least a little more on the price if they see you mean business. Good luck with your purchase.

I would bet this is a V6 2 wheeler SR5. I've also heard that dealers in Florida are unbelievably low for some reason.

No! I don't have a X5 (Too expansive), but my girlfriend owned one......so, I just borrow her X5's name for my dream 2005 Runner

A Sport 4x2 V6 - still a very, very good price! How do those Florida dealers do it!? This is actually quite a bit under invoice, and I wasn't aware Toyota is offering anything in that big of an incentive.

I just configured a truck identical to the one you are interested in on toyota.com using an Orlando ZIP code. The price on Toyota's website was $31,704. I guess this sounds like an amazing deal than!!

I think that's a pretty good price. My SR5 was about that price, though mine doesn't have JBL or DD, but does have a moonroof. If I could've gotten a Sport at that price, I would've went for it. But, it's your money. If you're comfortable with the price, go for it!

As a guide, I like to go to www.carsdirect.com and price it out. It tells you how much they can get you the car for, so definately give it a shot.

I live in Orlando, I used to work for a local toyoat dealer. That price is way below invoice, and I am amzed that any dealer has a Sport, whether it be a 4x2 or 4x4 for that price. Jump on it now.

I got my 4Runner for about 1700 behind invoice do it came out to about 27 and chage OTD, and it's not a sport. So if you got it, take it.

Thanks you all for the very helpful info and advices. I'm now sitting on fire while waiting for loan to be approved from the bank. Application was drop-off this morning and they will call me tomorrow.

Yes! I've drove this truck around downtown and then came back to the dealer through SR-408. Toyota of Orlando has it, and I also drove one of the V8. Now, I don't know which one I should pick. V6 or V8, then V8 or V6. The V8 is $995 Dollars more. Please tell me guys.

If you are not going to be towing heavy loads or offroading then there is no reason to get a V8. That was true with the 03/04 models and even more so now that the 05 V6s have the 5 speed transmission same as the V8s.
