2005 frame rust opinions

Hey everyone,

I'm back in the market for my 3rd 4Runner. I'm looking at a 2005 thats about 3 hours away from me. These are pics of the frame that are posted. I realize that I should do a PPI before purchasing, but I'm looking for opinions on the condition of this frame and if its worth pursuing. Again, this is a 2005 sport V8 that has spent its life just south of Columbus OH.

I had a 2003 that I had to sell due to frame rust issues. To me, on the surface without being there in person this one doesnt look too bad. The rest of the truck looks very clean and the 2nd owner has a full set of service records all performed at their local Toyota dealer. Timing belt/water pump was done at 122K in 2022, the truck now has 147K on it.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Doesn't look bad at all, as recommended get it coated, I would also suggest treating inside the frame first with a rust converter to stop any rust inside the frame, these frames tend to rust from the insides out, then spray some of the rust prohibitor inside there as well after the converter has dried.

After that have it checked yearly to keep up the rust protection.
