2005 Navigation Maps DVD update for GEN3 Systems

Here is the DVD you will need for a 3GEN Nav system to upgrade it to the latest 2005 maps that just came out. This just went in my 2003 4runner Limited Edition.
The part number is listed on the invoice in the picture as well as the price.

Thisis great news, thanks for finding this out. As I asked here in your other thread ............

"Interestingly enough I just came back from my Toyota dealer in Florida. they said the discs would be out in 3-4 weeks, that they could take orders now and would he $350. When I gave them the part number listed on your invoice they said that was not a Toyota part number and it did not come up in there system.

So...........can you share where you got yours so we can all get them at a good price? "

Great news, I ordered it online as suggested above. It came today, on time, and it installed easy. I just turned the car on, ejected the old DVD, inserted the new one........it went to an "updating your unit" screen and everything went smoothly. As far as I can tell there are no new features, colors etc. Everything I had in memory stayed, as I would expect.

Now the bad news, by me they started major construction on an area called the New Town Center (Jacksonville, Fl) about 2 years ago. As of late 2003/early 2004 the major roads were in place, the entire plan was submitted to the city, and it was appearing on printed maps. On my 2003 DVD none of the roads were there.....and on my 2005 DVD there still is not a single road. The huge mall with PF Changes/Cheese cake Factory etc has been in just after the 2004 Superbowl (Jan 05). Oh well, maybe next year. I have not checked to see if the new sections of highway 9a are on there or not yet. I hope so or about al I will have gotten was 2 year newer Points of Interest.
